“ As it was our first visit to Number One Kitchen my wife and I decided on the set meal for 2. It consisted of a selection of cold mezzo starters followed by a hot mixed grill. The service was friendly. The waiter explained what was in the cold mezzo, which was fi rest class. The same was true of the mixed grill, very generous portions of lamb and chi Chen shush kebab and kofte, all beautifully cooked, served with a Turkish salad. The whole meal was authentic Turkish cuisine of a very high standard. The quantities were so generous we had to ask for two containers to take home what we could not eat. We enjoyed a second meal at home the following evening. The meal was excellent value at £55 including a drink each. We live 25 minutes’ drive away in another town but were so impressed with Number One Kitchen that we will be returning on a regular basis in future. ”

“ Nice welcome to a nice, clean restaurant on Leighton Buzzard High Street, good service getting drinks and taking orders, the adults had starters and they brought the kids meals with those so they didn't have to sit and watch us eat which I always appreciate! Very nice food, Lamb Shank the meat just slid off the bone, but with the edible basket thing it was served in was a little tricky to eat apparently. Asked for no salad with my main but it was put on the plate anyway, so bit of food waste there that wasn't needed. Despite a small choice of Desserts they only had 2 available which wasn't great! Overall would definitely return again. ”

“ Popped in for lunch today, and went for the two-course lunch deal. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity. The service was good considering there was only one waiter, and there were at least 12-16 people in the restaurant. Seating was a bit tight where we were placed, but not crowded because tables around us were empty. Would highly recommend this restaurant for lunchtime. It might be a squeeze for an evening meal if it’s fuller. ”
